So Trump is bandying about some wild ideas about Gaza, and it’s got some people’s panties in quite the bunch. I’ll include myself in that category, to a certain extent, because I really do not want to see boots on the ground in Gaza. This is not what we voted for. So far, the reactions on the Right have been in three general categories:
The Forever Doomer “I told you so” guy. This is the guy who was saying all the way up to the election that Trump was a psyop, he is the establishment candidate, he’s going to trick Right-Wingers back into supporting the Deep State, etc. This person ignores completely the unprecedented dismantling of state patronage apparatuses under DOGE, and points at the mere possibility of a ground war in Gaza as proof that he was right all along. Cool story.
The “who cares about foreign policy” Copium Enjoyer. This person points to all the absolute bangers Trump has handed down via Executive Order in just the first few weeks of his Presidency, the vibe shift, everything, and says “who cares about Gaza, anyway?” There is a certain amount of truth to this, Gaza should certainly not be your primary concern, unless you happen to be either Israeli or Palestinian. But, if Trump does bumble into another retarded quagmire in the Middle-East, make no mistake, it will tarnish his legacy, destroy the Republican brand, and push the country in a leftward direction, the same way the Bush wars did.
The Boomer Israel Supporter, who actually thinks US boots on the ground in Gaza is a good idea. Fortunately, I have very few of these room-temperature IQ dipshits in my immediate orbit, so I don’t see a lot of this. I also don’t have much to say to such a person, other than, go join the IDF and get out of my country.
Before we get into it, lets look at what was actually said regarding Gaza, at the most recent White House press briefing:
The key takeaway from this exchange is that Karoline Leavitt is hot. We are Making Women Attractive Again, and this will probably be the lasting legacy of the Trump presidency.
Anyway, what is she actually saying here. The one thing that sticks out is she keeps repeating the line “Trump has not committed to sending troops.” This is not the same as saying Trump has committed to not sending troops, and the verbiage makes it sound like he is strongly considering it. This has led Forever Doomers to conclude that he is for sure going to let Netanyahu sleepwalk him into another middle-east quagmire. And, that may be correct.
But, remember that Trump likes to play things close to the chest. He’s not going to announce publicly that he absolutely won’t send troops, even if he’s not really planning to send troops. I remember, back in 2016, one of his big criticisms of Obama’s foreign policy was things like the “line in the sand” with Syria. Basically, his argument was that by spelling out exactly what America’s policy was with regards to these regions, we were making ourselves predictable to our enemies. So, it could just be Trump not wanting to “show his hand” with regards to Gaza. But, I agree that it is troubling.
Based on the above exchanges, it sounds like Trump’s big plan is to put economic pressure on our “partners” in the region to fund the rebuilding of Gaza, and accept Palestinian refugees. I quite enjoy the moment where the shitlib “journalist” smugly points out that Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia have “panned” Trump’s plan. I’m sure he was smugly pointing out Canada and Mexico’s retaliatory tariff policies last week. It’s interesting to watch Leftists publicly pretending that America, the world’s preeminent superpower, has absolutely no leverage on the world stage.
The suspicious part of the plan is his call for Palestinians to be “temporarily” re-settled in neighboring Arab states while the reconstruction is underway. This seems wholly unnecessary, and very much in line with Israel’s objective of removing the Palestinians from Gaza permanently, and incorporating the area fully into the Jewish state. It seems very unlikely that Palestinians, once removed from the strip, would be allowed back in.
And honestly, it might be the simplest solution at this point to just allow the Israelis to give the Palestinians the Cherokee treatment in Gaza. Rip the bandaid off once and for all. But, I certainly don’t want my tax dollars going toward deporting Palestinians in the Levant, when we still have millions of illegals here that need to be taken care of. That is not America First. And, under no circumstances would it be advantageous for us to militarily occupy Gaza on behalf of the Israeli government. This would be a disaster.
This is the part where Doomers jump to the comments section to assure me that Trump will send troops to Gaza, that all the worst case scenarios will come to pass, that there is no hope and we should just accept the inevitable reign of the Jewish volcano demon. But, these are the same people who, when I wrote my predictive essay back in December where I posited that Trump 2.0 was going to come out swinging, rushed to assure me that Nothing Ever Happens. So let’s assume, for the sake of argument, that it’s at least possible that Trump will do the right thing.
Trump has a seemingly unlimited capacity for reading the room. He is quite capable of reversing course on a position, if his constituency makes it clear that they oppose it. This is why he immediately sidelined Ramalamadingdong after his infamous “Saved By The Bell” tweet. So, we should definitely make our voices heard on this issue, but it’s silly to have a defeatist attitude about it.
Personally, if I think if Trump puts pressure on Egypt, Jordan, and Israel to fund a reconstruction project in Gaza where it gets turned into a halfway decent place to live, that would go a long way to stabilizing the region. People who enjoy a reasonable standard of living are harder to radicalize (especially if you stop killing their family members with air strikes). I think deporting Palestinians from Gaza is the wrong move, as they will simply go to their new homes with a chip on their shoulder, and agitate against Israel. (This, by the way, is why Jordan and Egypt don’t want more Palestinian refugees, they tend to be rabble rousers). But, if Trump is able to twist these Arab leaders’ arms to do it themselves, then I guess it’s whatever.
Further, it might be a good idea to legalize gambling and prostitution in Gaza, turn those folks into dopamine addicts and stuff them full of endocrine disruptors. Seems to be working in the West.

...and here I was thinking the genocidal carpet-bombing proposals were messed up. /s
Israel will never recognize Palestine as a country and the Palestinians will not accept anything less. Thats why this has been going on for 1,000 years. Israel has done a great job coveting influence in the US. They used our bombs to level Gaza.
Fuck the Palestinians, get them out of there, build some casinos and put this whole saga to rest. The Jews won fair and square. None of the Arab states came to their aid. All they were inclined to do was smuggle them weapons to kill Jews with. Nothing further.
